It's the end...

...of my time in Los Angeles. This weekend I was in Syracuse, New York where I will be attending grad school for a Master's in photography from the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. It was a whirlwind of a visit, attending an open house for the Master's Program, looking for apartments, driving around exploring the city. My good friend Tim Massie drove over 2 hours from Albany to help me look at places to live and drive me around. We were able to stay with some really good friends of my family, the Whitman's, in Rome, New York. It was amazing, everyone was really helpful and supportive and I am truly blessed to have such good friends/people in my life.

I'm excited about opening a new chapter in my life. My wife Sara and I are ready to leave the craziness of LA and take up residence in the Rust Belt of America. It'll be scary moving to a foreign city where we don't know anyone (the Whitmans are about an hour away) and have to discover a whole new world. But it's exciting because it's kind of our first step into real life as a married couple. We'll have only lived in LA as married for 5 months, so we're ready to start a new life in a city we're more excited about living in.

Real life is scary, but maybe the scarier it is the more exciting and fulfilling life will be. I hope that's the case. 123 GO!
